My Appearance Today on The Attitude

I appeared today on The Attitude with Arnie Arnesen, broadcast by WNHN 94.7 in Concord, New Hampshire.   The topic of our discussion was full employment, and the possibility of moving to a full employment economy by using a Job Guarantee program.

Deborah “Arnie” Arnesen is a former member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, a former fellow of the Harvard Institute of Politics, and was the Democratic nominee in the New Hampshire 1992 gubernatorial race.  She also ran for the U.S. Congress in 1996, and is a very well-known New Hampshire political figure and radio personality.  You can listen to the podcast of the show at the link below:

  1. Nicely done, Dan.
Your focus on full-employment is timely and necessary.
I enjoy your work. Keep it up.

  2. Congrats Dan, good stuff.

Also, thought you MMT’ers might enjoy this endorsement from the Vampire Squid itself:

  3. Great work, Dan. You make a great standard bearer for full employment. I also had a good laugh when Arnesen said she wanted to give Pete Peterson a knuckle sandwich.

  4. supreme Dan… just great, articulate, well spoken…

Dan one thing I would caution her on is her benign attitude towards Simpson.

Simpson is more than just drinking the kool-aid, he is dispensing it.

Simpson they have positioned as “Grandpa Al” imo and are using his senior citizen type appeal to take the Peterson falsehoods to the senior citizen demographic…. Mike posted up a recent Simpson thing where Simpson appeared on the ‘Today’ show and I would assume mostly older people watch a show like that…

Simpson is operating as a messenger to seniors to get them thinking imo AGAINST their own interests by having them believe that “we can’t afford” to take care of them and that they represent a burden on society, etc.. and Simpson plays a BIG role in this… he is more than dangerous…

If she knows him perhaps she should try to contact him and help him sober up out of what he is caught up in and perhaps shut him down….

Again ab-so-lute-ly great job on the show and hope to hear more of you out there on the “airwaves”… rsp,
